Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) are an important task that Navigate performs for HUD in order to verify that property owners and management agents are in compliance with HUD and other federal regulations and their Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) Contract.
Our RMs conduct MORs every 1, 2 or 3 years for each property that is covered under the Project-based Section 8 contract. The MOR frequency is based on the overall rating of the property’s last MOR, and the property’s Risk Rating status as determined by HUD: Troubled, Potentially Troubled or Not Troubled. Following a HUD-approved change of ownership and/or management at a property, HUD requires that we conduct an MOR within six months.
