1.) Can residents gift vehicles to grandchildren? Yes, HUD says vehicle are personal items unless it is an antique vehicle.

2.) Can a state-issued ID such as driver’s license be used to prove a resident’s age in place of a birth certificate? Yes, these are one acceptable forms of verification according to the HUD Handbook.

3.) Can I use an asset card like a direct express card? Yes, but you must have the account number of the card and the balance on the date of the statement.
