Tuesday Tip: COVID-19 Supplemental Payments

Vickie covers HUD Notice H 20-8, the COVID-19 Supplemental Payments (CSPs), in this week’s Tuesday Tip!

HUD released the CSP Request Form (52671-E) on Friday, July 24th, 2020. Housing Notice H 20-8 allows owners to submit payment requests for expenses incurred between March 27, 2020 – July 31, 2020. The requests are due to HUD or the Contract Administrator by August 5, 2020.

This notice applies to the administration of the following programs listed below:

  1. Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA)
    • New Construction
    • State Housing Agencies Program
    • Substantial Rehabilitation
    • Section 202/8
    • Rural Housing Services Section 515/8
    • Loan Management Set-Aside (LMSA)
    • Property Disposition Set-Aside (PDSA)
  2. Section 202/162 Project Assistance Contract (PAC)
  3. Section 202 Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC)
  4. Section 202 Senior Preservation Rental Assistance (SPRAC)
  5. Section 811 PRAC

Eviction Moratorium has Ended

The CARES Act Eviction Moratorium has ended, as of July 24th at midnight. If your property has a signed forbearance agreement, you will NOT be able to process an eviction until the ending date of the forbearance agreement. You must follow the forbearance instructions in the HUD Multifamily COVID-19 Q & A’s. However, if there is NOT a forbearance agreement on the property, Owners/Agents must give the resident(s) a 30-day notice before beginning the eviction process.
