Tuesday Tip: Contract Renewal Changes Two

In this week’s #TuesdayTip, we conclude our series on HUD’s changes to the contract renewal process.

Nitira also shares the following reminders about the new changes:

  • Effective May 1, 2023
  • Proposed Section 8 Rents will include utility amounts
  • Owners outside of metropolitan areas can use Fair Market Rents
  • Eligibility for method one depends on proposed section 8 rent potential. It must be less than the Small Area Fair Market Rent.
