After four long years, the much-anticipated All Staff Week finally arrived last week, and what a week it was! Our team members from Alabama, Mississippi, Connecticut, and Virginia converged at our new Birmingham headquarters, marking our first in-person gathering since the pandemic hit in 2020. It was a time for reuniting, reenergizing, and reaffirming our shared vision.
The excitement was palpable as colleagues who had previously been limited to virtual interactions finally met face-to-face. The week kicked off with an icebreaker session that allowed us to connect, learn, and grow together. The icebreaker was a hit, setting the tone for the entire week.
Navigating Our Identity A pivotal moment was our session with the Global Strategy Group team, where we delved deep into our organization’s identity. Through engaging discussions and exercises, we explored our core messages and how they relate to our mission and vision. It was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do and how we can do it even better.
Our diverse team brought a wealth of perspectives from their respective regions, enriching our discussions. We spent time sharing stories about our experiences at Navigate, sparking meaningful conversations about the impact of our work.
Community Tours and Revitalization One of the highlights was the Community Tours in the North Titusville neighborhood. We witnessed firsthand the transformational impact of our community revitalization efforts. Five new homes and thirteen beautifully rehabbed cottages stood as tangible testaments to the positive change we’re creating together.

Team Building and Fun Beyond the insightful discussions and tours, we indulged in team-building activities and games that not only strengthened our professional bonds but also brought smiles and laughter.
The Road Ahead As we bid farewell, our spirits were high, and our bonds were stronger than ever. All Staff Week 2023 was more than just a gathering; it was a reaffirmation of our dedication to affordable housing and community revitalization.
