Why rental assistance is necessary
The August 2020 unemployment rate is 8.4%. This means millions of Americans are out of work, and many of them are struggling financially. They need help paying rent.
The CDC’s National Eviction Moratorium initially ran through the end of 2020. In 2021, it was extended to March 31. Residents will still be responsible for all rent, fees, etc. at the end of the ban. Please share these resources with anyone you know who may need help with their rent at this time.
The U.S. Department of Treasury is making $25 billion available for Emergency Rental Assistance in 2021.
