The NAHMA Educational Foundation is accepting applications for scholarships to be awarded to worthy student residents in 2020. This year will be the 14th consecutive year that the foundation has made scholarships available. To access the application, visit https://nahma.communityforce.com. The deadline for completed applications is 10 p.m. Eastern on Friday, May 15. In 2019, over 70% of applicants filing a completed application received a scholarship.
Residents of AHMA/NAHMA-affiliated apartment communities in good standing
Any age can apply! You must be a high school senior (2.5 GPA), GED holder, or student enrolled in accredited college, trade/technical school
The deadline for completed applications is 10 p.m. Eastern on Friday, May 15.
Eligibility for the program requires that an applicant be a resident in good standing at an AHMA/NAHMA affiliated apartment community and be either a high school senior with a minimum GPA of 2.5, a general equivalency diploma holder or a matriculated student with a minimum GPA of 2.3 at an accredited college or trade/technical school. The foundation will no longer accept applications from students in graduate-level programs.
The process requires applicants to complete the online application form, as well as provide two academic and/or professional references, an essay and a certification of residency in good standing form. A grade transcript through the fall 2019 is also necessary and is the only application component sent via U.S. mail to the foundation.
All necessary forms are provided within the web-based application at https://nahma.communityforce.com and no hard copies are needed.

Last year, the foundation awarded 109 scholarships totaling $272,500 to worthy student residents.
