Posted On: December 23, 2022

Navigate Communities’ Live on 1st development and CEO Lisa McCarroll are in the news again. This time on the radio. The development, which consists of three smart, energy-efficient modular homes in the Titusville neighborhood, has recently been featured on WBHM.

The homes are targeted at low- to middle-income individuals and families who may not typically be able to afford a home or pay expensive utility bills. Thanks to energy-efficient upgrades and smart home equipment provided by Alabama Power, Live on 1st residents like Bertina Robinson have seen significant savings on their monthly energy bills.

McCarroll spoke with WBHM about the organization’s mission to provide affordable housing to those who need it most, while also incorporating sustainable building practices. She emphasized that modular building is the way of the future, as it saves energy and reduces waste.

This news is especially noteworthy given the growing concern about climate change and the need to reduce our carbon footprint. Navigate Communities and the Live on 1st development are leading the way in providing affordable, sustainable housing to those who need it most.
