The Fair Housing Compliance™ (FHC™) course trains managers to understand the complex regulations set forth in the Fair Housing Act and Section 504 regulations. The comprehensive, practical training manual for this course includes ready-to-use documents and forms to conduct a Section 504 Self-Evaluation and sample Transition Plan. The course teaches a step-by-step approach to determining the administrative and financial feasibility of making units accessible. Not only does NAHMA’s Fair Housing course cover the application process, which includes screening, accepting, and rejecting applicants, it also presents instruction on developing company-wide policies and procedures.
The 8-hour program is composed of one full day of interactive virtual/Zoom training (8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m. EDT) and a take home 2-hour online certification exam that must be taken within 3 weeks of completing the course. Each participant will receive the Zoom meeting credentials and an electronic copy of the NAHMA Fair Housing manual via email in advance of the webinar. Students who successfully complete this course and exam will receive a FHC certificate and pin, and be listed in NAHMA’s Online Credential Directory.
Each registrant must provide an individual/unique email address at registration.
NOTE: The FHC is a requirement for NAHMA’s National Affordable Housing Professional (NAHP) certification program.
