COVID-19 Supplemental Payment Request tips
Posted On: April 13, 2021
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development released notice H 2021-01 this week. H 2021-01 announces the “Continued Availability of Funds” for COVID-19 Supplemental Payment. Eligible properties include those receiving Project-Based Rental Assistance under the Section 8, Section 202, or Section 811 Programs.
There are several changes from H 2020-11 which HUD deems “notable.” They include:
- clarifications on eligible expenses associated with hosting COVID-19 vaccination and testing clinics conducted by 3rd-party providers at Multifamily properties (Reference page 4 in document below).
- parameters for owners who did not submit requests under H 2020-08 or H 2020-11 to make requests for expenses incurred from March 27 through November 30, 2020 (in addition to those incurred from December 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021),
- allowable re-submissions for previously disapproved CSP requests (Reference page 5 in document below).
HUD also released tips and explanations for completing HUD Form 52671-E today. The step-by-step instructions for requesting COVID-19 Supplemental Payment are available for download on the right.
